Frugal Family: Save on Gifts for the Entire Family

This week's deals include savings at your favorite stores, including Amazon, Wine.com, Walmart, and more.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, at every store I shop.  There are deals to be had for all on your list.  You just have to know where to look.  Good thing you have me.

Remember, not just any sale makes it into Frugal Family. Only the best of the best can catch my eye, and believe me, thousands of deals audition each week.  However, the few that make this list have undergone the scrutiny of a watchful and somewhat skeptical eye.

My promise to you is this: They will save you a substantial amount of dough.  They will add to your quality of life, even if only a sliver. And last but certainly not least, they will bring you utter and complete happiness and bliss.

For the Kiddos:

Amazon: What a great deal on a couple infant/toddler toys.  Get the Playskool Poppin’ Park Roll-n-Pop Express for $6.99 (retail $18.99) or Snatch up the Playskool Poppin’ Park Pound-n-Pop Carnival (say that five times fast) for $11.99 (retail $22.99).

Walmart:  Whether you snatch this up for a Christmas morning treat for your favorite artist or use it to entice good behavior on the way to Grandma’s, this is one great deal.  Walmart has Crayola Color Wonder Superhero Gift Set for $5.00 with free ship to store or shipping is $0.97.

Klutz: Get $30 worth of your kid’s favorite Klutz toys and activities for just $14.

In General:

Walmart: Pick up a DVD for everyone on your list for just $2.50 each.  Nope, that’s not a typo.  They have many options to chose from.  Shipping is free to store or $.97 per item to your door.

Crocs:  What a sale this may be.  Hop on over to Crocs.com and check out their sale on sale products.  Right now, all sale styles are Buy 1, Get 1 free.  Use FALLSHIP for Free Shipping.

Wine.com:  This deal is still available.  I’d hop on it if I were you.  Me? I got mine last week.  Don’t let this deal pass you by again.  Get $70 worth of your favorite wine and gifts for the low, low price of $35.

Symphony of Lights:  Plum District has one drive thru ticket to the Symphony of Lights at Merriweather for $10, a 50% savings.  The whole family will love it.  Plus save 30% on any Plum District purchase through Friday with code LOCAL30.

Free Shipping Day: National Free Shipping Day is December 16.  Since I won't be back before then, make sure you mark your calendars and check out the hundreds of participating retailers.

Food:

El Nayar Mystery Booth Wednesday: If you’re heading out tomorrow night for dinner, check out El Nayar (at the corner of Mellor and Frederick).  Every Wednesday, they choose a mystery booth.  If you happen to sit in it, you’re entire meal will be 50% off.  Since their prices are already reasonable and their food delicious, it’s worth the gamble.

Also, on Tuesday nights, they have Kid’s Night.  Get one free kid’s meal (a $3.99 value) with each entrée purchased.

Chick-fil-a: Just wanted to remind you guys that it’s Tuesday and that means it’s Kid’s Night at our local CFA.  For every adult meal you purchase, you get a free 4 ct kid’s meal absolutely Free. So take a break from school shopping, head on over, and make the cows happy.  Who knows?  Maybe we’ll see you there.

That’s it for this week.  Of course I’ll be back next week with another edition of Frugal Family.  As always, if you’ve heard of any local deals that would pass the FF test, pass them on.
