Reply"Enlightened" is subjective, FB. But yes, slippery slope, indeed. Regardless, we're all on the same bubble, and each of us will eventually slip off of one side or the other. Let's hope that we can all agree to watch each other's back while we attempt to keep things in-balance.

ReplyBaltimore is a violent city, and there's no end in sight. While crime, in general, has become an all-consuming disease in Baltimore, black on black murder is an everyday occurrence in our city, and our current laws, politians AND law enforcement are doing ZERO ZERO ZERO, nada!, to curb it. It's absolutely senseless, and what do we do??....turn a blind eye. Oh, there ARE arrests, you say?? And what, exactly, has that proven?? For the record, I am a 46-year-old white male, I've been living here my entire life, and I have witnessed ALL of the changes, good and bad, in my years. I have been victimized, and I feel that I have developed a hard edge over the years...an edge that I'd just as soon shed.....IF violent crime were reduced in our city, and state. That said, I'm all for the Death Penalty. It WILL absolutely serve as a deterrent. The currently-incarcerated, and repeat offenders/probation breakers in general should be FORCED to witness these executions.
Of course I realize that a bunch you will foo-foo me and any mention of pro-death, but the way I see it, what are YOU doing to change anything? That's right, NOTHING. Some of you may even cite religion as a basis for your beliefs. Great, we see where THAT has gotten us. I'll exercise my right to vote, and let the chips fall where they may. Meanwhile, I'll pray that each and every one of us survive the mean streets of Baltimore in 2013.

ReplyKudos to our fine Men in Blue! Keep up the great work!
Wow, these degenerates were quite busy on January 15th, two of the robberies being 3 minutes apart. Is that even possible?? Crafty, these folks. If they could just learn to WORK A JOB that hard, I'd be impressed. Until then, I'll just expect more of the same.

ReplySorry NANAB.....I now see that you mentioned the fatal car crash. I am very sorry for your cousin's loss. Even more reason to pray for Hoffman's 'jail cell justice'. I know someone will whining and crying, it's not her fault....wha, wha, wha, she had a lousy childhood.....I don't feel sorry for her one ounce. She's grown, knows the law, and had the option to choose compassion, but chose NOT to......many times over! Now she'll answer for ALL of it.

ReplyIt's likely that an animal may have tried to take the hand. Happens all the time in nature....with deer carcasses, etc. Unfortunately, these were human remains in this case.

On the article UPDATE: Motorcyclist Killed in Head-On Morning Collision
Mike
11:34 am on Saturday, October 27, 2012
ReplyI am an avid motorcyclist, and while enjoy a spirited ride from time to time, I ride with common sense. I respect the motorists around me, and I maintain safe speeds on public roads. We do not have to go 100 to have an enjoyable ride. I'm very sorry to hear about motorcyclists being killed, regardless of whether it was their fault or not. They're human beings. Riding a motorcycle requires a great deal of skill, coordination, and attention. Unfortunately, there is very little room for error when you're on a motorcycle, and MANY riders do not have the experience to prevent an accident when they ride above their abilities.
All that said, MOST automobile drivers on our roads these days are inconsiderate, unskilled, and dangerous. If you're speeding, on your cell phone, tailgating, changing lanes without a signal, running yellow/red lights, you're no different than a speeding motorcyclist. You're part of the problem, and will contribute to the statistics just the same.

Very sorry to hear this. I pray for sister Victoria's physical and emotional recovery. To think, I spent my Sunday enjoying time with my family. P. White has been a Domestic Abuse 'frequent flyer' since 2008 according to Md Judiciary Case Study. Way to drag your feet, Maryland Judicial System. You dropped the ball...........again.
