Police: Grandson Suspected in Double Homicide, Found in Oklahoma

Matthew Long, the 31-year-old grandson who has been missing after his grandparents were found dead in their Sudbrook Park home, is in a hospital.

UPDATE (11:40 a.m.) It's the day of Vaughn and Marjorie Pepper's funeral, but there's one family member who won't attend the 11 a.m. service in Dorchester County. Matthew Long, their 31-year-old grandson, is now a suspect in the double homicide but is currently in an Oklahoma hospital, according to a news release from Baltimore County police. "Detectives have traveled to Oklahoma as part of this investigation," the release states. "Matthew Long has not been interviewed yet due to his medical condition, but detectives are now considering him a suspect in the murders." UPDATE: Police Identify Pikesville Couple Found Dead

Vaughn George and Marjorie Marie Pepper were residents of the Sudbrook Park home where they were found, and police are looking for their adult grandson.

UPDATE (3:46 p.m.)—Police have identified the elderly couple found dead in their Olmstead Road home Monday. Police continue to investigate the deaths of Vaughn George Pepper, 87, and Marjorie Marie Pepper, 85. Police are looking for an adult grandson who lived with the Peppers. Like Pikesville Patch on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. The couple was found after relatives from out of town and a neighbor asked police to check in on the couple. Both had suffered traumatic wounds and were found inside their home. UPDATE: 2 Found Dead in Pikesville Home

Police suspect foul play after discovering the bodies of two elderly residents who had suffered traumatic injuries at their Sudbrook Park home in Pikesville.

UPDATE (10:15 p.m.) Camera flashes flickered through the windows of an Olmstead Road home Monday evening as detectives inside investigated a double homicide. Police say they found an elderly man and woman dead in the Sudbrook Park home shortly after 4 p.m. Monday. The as yet unidentified pair suffered traumatic wounds, according to Cpl. John Wachter, police spokesman. The man was found on floor of the first level. The woman was found on the basement floor, he said. Sudbrook Road resident Brian Kuebler lamented that such a crime occurred just down the street, where Sudbrook turns into Olmstead Road.
