Police Blotter: Burglaries in the Area

Based on information provided by Baltimore County Police Department.

Nov. 5: At some time since 9 p.m. the previous evening, an unknown person took a generator, four bicycles, two chainsaws and two gas cans from the rear patio and shed of a residence on the 300 block of Lee Dr. Nov. 6: Between 8:20 a.m. and 1 p.m., an unknown person entered a yard on the 6600 block of Altamont and took an aluminum ladder. Nov. 6: At around 4:25 p.m., a resident on the 1900 block of Edmondson Ave. saw an unknown suspect go into a shed and take a gas can. The suspect was stopped by the victim, but fled westbound on Edmondson. Nov. 7: At some time since 10:30 the previous evening, an unknown person broke into a residence on the 200 block of Westshire Rd. by removing the window of a rear door. Outdoor surveillance cameras and DVR systems are cheap these days. Spending a few hundred bucks to save a $1000 snow blower and a $1200 lawn tractor is a great investment. Not counting what else people store in their sheds.   more ›

Police Blotter: Burglaries in the Area

The following is based on information provided by Baltimore County Police Department.

Oct. 6: At some time since 4:30 the previous afternoon, an unknown person entered a garage on the unit block of N. Beechwood Ave. and took two video game controllers and 12 video games. Oct. 12: At some time since 10 p.m. the previous evening, an unknown person stole a weed trimmer from a residence on the unit block of N. Prospect Ave. Oct. 14: Between 2:30-2:58 a.m., an unknown person entered a residence on the unit block of Wyndcrest Ave. through an unlocked back door and took a video game system, a Vera Bradley purse and $200. The suspect dropped the video game in the driveway as he was being chased by the victim.

Police Blotter: Burglaries in the Area

The following is based on information provided by Baltimore County Police Department.

Sept. 11: At some time since 8 p.m. the previous evening, unknown suspects hit three office suites on the 6600 block of Baltimore National Pike. The suspects attempted to break into one suite by prying open a rear door. A second suite under construction was broken into and tools were moved, but nothing was taken. A third business was broken into by prying open the front door. Once inside, the suspects attacked an ATM with a grinder and stole money from the machine as well as money from cash register drawers. The suspects also took a video game system and two cell phones, and cut cable/internet lines in the rear of the business. The suspects were described as males wearing masks and gloves. Police Blotter: Burglaries in the Area

The following is based on information provided by Baltimore County Police Department.

Sept. 1: At some time since 10 a.m. on Aug. 18, an unknown person cut off the lock to a shed on the unit block of Dunmore Road and took a snow blower.  Sept. 1: At some time since 7 p.m. the previous evening, an unknown person cut air conditioning lines and removed two air conditioning units from a remote area behind a business on the 6400 block of Baltimore National Pike. Sept. 4: Between noon and 11 p.m., an unknown person entered a residence on the unit block of S. Prospect Ave. and removed copper pipes. No sign of forced entry was found. Crime Roundup: Police Arrest Man in Armed Robbery at M&T Bank ATM

The following arrest information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction

The following is a roundup of crime reports from Precinct One of the Baltimore County Police Department. On Wednesday at 10:46 p.m., a woman was withdrawing money from the ATM at the M&T Bank on the 4600 block of Wilkens Avenue in Catonsville. After she had withdrawn $100 from her account, a thin white man with blond hair came up and stood beside her. According to the police report, the man said "excuse me, mama" and pointed a gun at her. The man told her to withdraw $500. The woman said she didn't think she had $500 but that she had $300. After she withdrew the funds, he took all the money and ran away toward the Giant. Police were able to print a photo of the suspect from the ATM surveillance camera and that he had just been in the bank …

Robbery, Burglary Highlight Police Calls This Week

Weekly roundup of crime-related events in Precinct One of the Baltimore County Police Department.

Sept. 29: Robbery, 10:08 p.m., BP Gasoline, 607 Frederick Road: The suspect followed the victim into the locked cashier area when the victim wasn't looking, according to police. The suspect then began punching the victim in the face and demanded money from the register. The victim grabbed a pair of scissors, which caused the suspect to grab the cashier drawer and run from the gas station. The victim chased the suspect off the property. Sept. 30: Second-degree burglary, 10 p.m., Shell Gas Station, 925 Frederick Road: The suspect disabled the alarm and entered the station store through the rear door, stealing several cartons of cigarettes and cash, according to police.
