UMBC Soccer Player Nominated for National Award
Pete Caringi III is a finalist for national soccer honor.
UMBC soccer player Pete Caringi III is one of 34 collegiate soccer players named as a finalist for the 2012 Soccer News Net College Boot award, recognizing the men's college player of the year. Caringi is the son of UMBC soccer coach Pete Caringi Jr. For this award, the editors of each of the sites in the Soccer News Net network nominated as many as five local players for the honor, and each of them is eligible for the regional player of the year award. In addition, fans from around the United States can vote for the best collegiate player through Dec. 22.
