It's T-shirt weather in the Baltimore area for the next few days. Temperatures could get up as high as 81 in Catonsville on Wednesday, according to a National Weather Service forecast. Things are expected to cool down starting Thursday, as a system rolls in bringing a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms. Rain chances rise to 60 percent Thursday night and into Friday.

We can expect breezy and cooler conditions in Pikesville for most of this week, according to the National Weather Service forecast. The worst of the winds are Monday, with gusts forecast up to 29 mph, and west to northwest winds through Wednesday. Temperatures won't get above the low 50s, according to forecasters. A chance of sprinkles is in the forecast for Monday afternoon, with a 60 percent chance of rain on Thursday night and into Friday.

AccuWeather is warning of a storm possibly bringing snow, power outages and coastal flooding next week.
A "substantial" winter storm could blow its way through Maryland by the middle of next week, according to the weather website AccuWeather. The website’s current forecast predicts a potential for rain that could turn into snow, with coastal flooding and power outages. “While the details are still uncertain, a larger, slower-moving and more powerful storm could slam the mid-Atlantic and New England with heavy precipitation, strong winds and above-normal tides Tuesday (Dec. 18) into Thursday (Dec. 20),” according to an email from AccuWeather. The current forecast from the National Weather Service calls for a chance of rain through the early part of next week, but doesn’t currently predict any snow for the area.

The State Highway Administration warns travelers to plan for a long afternoon commute.
Although it's only early November, locals may soon feel the first bite of winter. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory predicting one to two inches of snow across most of the Baltimore metro region, although northern Baltimore and northern Harford counties may see two to four inches. The advisory is in effect from 2 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday. The steadiest precipitation—snow mixed with rain at times—is expected to occur through the afternoon and evening hours.
