ALDI to Open in Catonsville

The grocery chain plans to open second Maryland store on Baltimore National Pike business.

ALDI is coming to Catonsville in two weeks. The discount grocer will be opening its new store on Baltimore National Pike on Friday, Feb. 22. The store is going to be located at 6503 Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville. According to the ALDI web site, it is a discount grocery chain which operates more than 1,000 stores in 31 states. ALDI's web site said that the closest store to Catonsville is the one in Frederick. In fact, the Catonsville store will be just the second in the state. The chain tries to offer its customers the highest quality items at the lowest possible prices. And the public gets to come in starting at 9 a.m. that Friday.

Well, the Catonsville Aldi is sort of a bust. I guess it will do in a pinch if a snowstorm is coming and you need BMTP to survive the oncoming onslaught.   more ›

Aldi Grocery Store Has Tentative Opening Date

Store spokeswoman said the store will open in Catonsville by the end of the year.

Catonsville shoppers eager to have another place to buy groceries will have to wait a little longer, as the Aldi store will likely open at the end of the year. The discount grocery store that has other locations in Baltimore County has planned to build a store in the Pike Park Plaza South Shopping Center for more than a year.
