So Who Is YOUR Ray Lewis?

Ray Lewis is an inspirational person that makes anyone around him better. Who is your Ray Lewis? Can YOU be a Ray Lewis to someone? It's worth a try.

So who is YOUR Ray Lewis?

Each of us needs people in our lives who are ‘our’ Ray Lewis. It may be your spouse, mom or dad, a brother or sister, or a friend or co-worker. We all need someone to do for us what Ray Lewis does for his team:
demonstrate by example, his passion, preparation and leadership through success, failure and adversity.

As Ray Lewis and his journey are seen by football fans around the world and the not-so-football-fan TV watcher, there should be little doubt that Ray demonstrates how to overcome adversity, grow as a person and a professional, and pay it forward by showing young people how to ‘play his game.'

Why do WE need a Ray Lewis in our lives?

There will always be those moments we need to be reminded of our goal, our plan or why we can be successful in whatever we endeavor to do. We also need people in our life to show us leadership, ways we can learn and improve to be prepared for whatever comes our way.

The passion that Ray Lewis brings to his workouts, game study and leadership role he assumes for his team are examples of what needs to be taught to people in all walks of life… young and old, student and workers and especially to our political and community leaders.

Can you be a Ray Lewis to someone?

I challenge anyone reading this to look around you and find someone (or group of someones) for whom you can be THEIR Ray Lewis. Imagine how inspired and motivated people would be. Imagine how people would approach adversity, problem solving and team work differently.

We all have a little of Ray in us. We should not be afraid to look for it and
show it to others.

Baltimore sports fans and indeed the city itself have been blessed to have him
help define this team. We all need to take some lessons from his accomplishments and from his passion, so we can be as prepared as possible for success in our own way, and help make the world a better place.

I try to be a Ray Lewis to my family, to my friends and business clients. Ray has set a pretty high bar, but I will keep trying. Can you?
