July 4 Committee Seeks Donations
In February, the committee postponed a dance fundraiser planned for Saturday.
The Catonsville Celebrations Committee is looking for funds to help cover the towns July 4 festivities.
The group in February decided to postpone to the fall a fundraiser dance that had been set for Saturday because "tickets were not selling," Kathy Bauman, a member of the committee, said in an email.
Bauman said the group will now depend largely on donations to pay the $100,000 cost of the parade and fireworks. Checks can be made out to the Catonsville Celebrations Committee, and sent to the committee at P.O. Box 21202, Catonsville, MD 21228. Donations may also be made online.
