Catonsville July 4th: What You Need to Know

The parade is at 3 p.m. and activities are happening all day. Patch has you covered.

The day has finally arrived: July 4th in Catonsville. Many of us will spend the day cooking out, gathering on Frederick Road to watch the parade and watching the fireworks.

Here's the information you need to know to get through the day.

  • The parade starts at 3 p.m., but there are many other activities throughout the day. To see the complete schedule of events, go . It is typically between 90 minutes and two hours.
  • Starting at 1 p.m., many side streets will be closed, and Frederick Road will close at 2 p.m. To see a complete list of road closures, go .
  • The Catonsville Celebrations Committee asks that during the parade, that people stay off the curbs as much as possible to stay out of the route of the parade. Space is also needed if emergency vehicles need to get through.
  • If you are helping to make sandwiches for the volunteers at the , be advised that the start time has been pushed back from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
