Ravens Accepting Play 60 Grant Applications

Does your organization have what it takes to haul in a Ravens Play 60 Grant? The program offers up to $5,000 to qualifying nonprofit organizations.

Catonsville organizations may be eligible for up to $5,000 in grants through a program being run by the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens Play 60 Grant—previously known as Plan in Motion—encourages healthy initiatives in the Baltimore metro area, according to a news release from the Ravens.

Applications—available at www.baltimoreravens.com/play60grant—will be accepted through May 31.

Non-profits "that create and/or continue programs or projects promoting physical fitness and nutrition education" may be eligible for the grant, administered through the Ravens All Community Team Foundation, the release stated.

According to the release, requests must meet a series of qualifications:

  • Must be a 501(c)(3) organization
  • Programs or projects aimed to promote fitness or nutrition education, directed at children 5-to-18
  • Organizations illustrate programming with measurable goals
  • Programs must happen in Maryland

Funding will not be considered for facilities or fields.

Nonprofits have been grated approximately $550,000 in the past six years. The grant funding has helped more than 10,000 children in 128 programs. 

Recent winners included Immaculate Heart in Parkville, while Play 60 has put current and former Ravens into the community.
