Catonsville Rails to Trails 4th of July Bike Ride

Catonsville Rail to Trail is holding a bike ride to Fort McHenry via the Gwynn Falls Trail on the 4th of July.

BRING A LOCK (Fort McHenry does not allow bikes onto the grounds but has racks near the Rangers station)

Date: July 4th
Time: 9:00 AM, return 12-1ish
Meetup location: 501 N. Rolling Rd., Catonsville, Md 21228 (Senior Center/Catonsville Park)
Distance: ~25 miles
Speed: Casual ~12mph, a mix of trail and city roads, downtown traffic, mostly flat
Bike: most styles will be fine, there is a dirt section on the Gwynn Falls Trail and a few uneven pavement joints on the bridges.

Bring some snacks & water while we rest at the Fort. Don't forget a helmet!

BRING A LOCK

We will hang out on the grounds outside the fort not entering inside. When returning to Catonsville think about stopping by the 4th of July parade and fireworks. Governor O'Malley will be in the parade in support of Cycle Maryland. It would be nice to show our support as well.
