Catonsville Woman, Group, Finish Run from California

Hallie Schmidt ran 4,000 kilometers in the Ulman 4K for Cancer to honor her father, a cancer survivor, according to an article in "The Baltimore Sun."

A group of 22 runners, including Catonsville resident Hallie Schmidt, ran into Federal Hill Park Sunday, ending their 4,000 kilometer, cross-country run to benefit the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.

The run began June 15 in San Francisco, and Schmidt said she ran to honor her father, Scott Schmidt, who is a cancer survivor, according to an article in "The Baltimore Sun."

Each runner raised $4,500 through pledges and sponsorships, it states.
