Students Lend Hands for Mural

Artwork on western wall of Emmanuel Lutheran Church features a rainbow of student handprints.

When Catonsville artist Mark Selby undertook the painting of a mural on the western side of Emmanuel Lutheran Church's school, he decided to incorporate an unusual feature—the painted palm prints of students at the school.

The project, which Selby estimates will take about two and a half weeks to complete, will include the figure of Jesus and a colorful rainbow of hundreds of handprints.
