Meet the Valedictorian and Salutatorian at Catonsville High
The top students in the Class of 2012 will be honored at tonight's graduation ceremony.
As students graduate from at at 7 p.m. tonight, there will be two students whose hard work stands out: Olivia Nicolaus and Grace Hochheimer.

Position being honored: Valedictorian

Activities in school: Soccer, track, lacrosse, Young Democrats Club, Students Sharing Coalition, National Honor Society, National Math Honor Society, National Art Honor Society
Activities outside of school: Recreational basketball, neurobiology internship, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Camp Superkids
Plans upon graduation: Undecided, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill
Favorite teacher: Mr. McDaniel and Ms. Spiridigliozzi
Best piece of advice received: Keep your eye on the ball
Piece of advice for other high school students: In the words of Fitz, "Be Bold"
Favorite memories: Being a member of sports teams, calculus class, and Comet football senior year

Grace Hochheimer
Age: 18
Position being honored: Salutatorian
Activities at school: Students Sharing Coalition, Math Honor Society, National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, French Honor Society, Lacrosse, Indoor Track
Activities outside of school: Referee for youth soccer and youth girls lacrosse through Baltimore County Recreation and Parks, Assistant Hebrew Teacher at Shalom Aleichem Hebrew School, summer intern at The Emmes Corporation
Plans upon graduation: I will attend the University of Maryland at College Park as a University Honors and Smith School of Business student
Major: Accounting
Favorite teacher/subject at CHS: Graham Long, AP Economics
Best piece of advice received: Find out what your passion is and do what you love.
Best piece of advice for other students: Enjoy high school and get involved in any way you can. There are so many things going on that you might not realize you like or even love, but you never know until you try it!
Favorite memories: Spirit week every year, putting together all of the activities for Students Sharing, Fun Fact Fridays, senior prom, football games, hanging out with friends, and winning counties and regionals in lacrosse.
Anything else you'd like to add: I can't believe high school is over! The four years went by so fast but were filled with so many fun times. I am so grateful for all of the opportunities that lie ahead, and I couldn't have done it without the support of my parents, teachers, and friends.
