Who Does O’Malley Think He’s Fueling?

I don’t know about you, but I love going to the gas pump every week. The only thing I can think of that would make it more fun would be paying more! Who better to make my day than Governor O’Malley?

Not only is the governor raiding your pocket and mine – every time we go to the gas pump it hurts more and more – but he is also raiding the dedicated funds. Oh, but this is nothing new. Constrained by the balanced state budget mandate, O’Malley has been tapping into designated funds to pay for his outrageous expenditures since he got into office.

State Comptroller Peter Franchot openly opposes O’Malley’s proposed Gas tax because the negative effects on leisure travel and the every-day commuter for a measure that’s only a temporary debt-fix.
