Charles Lollar at UMBC!

Come see distinguished leader Charles Lollar and be inspired to make your voice heard.

By Kristin Shields

Whether you are a small business or a family struggling to make ends meet, it can be very easy to become discouraged in today’s political climate. Too often we feel as if your voice does not matter and there is nothing you can do but sit and watch elected officials make all the decisions in Annapolis and Washington.

It is time to change that. You have the opportunity to learn how to use that voice effectively from a man who has been using his in Maryland for many years. The UMBC Young Americans for Freedom will be , Executive Director of New Day Maryland, on March 26th at 7:00 pm. Come hear Mr. Lollar discuss his take on diversity and the most important issues in Maryland. We are honored to have him speak to us about revitalizing diversity, prioritizing values, and working for a new day in Maryland.

Charles Lollar has been an active participant in Maryland politics for many years. His most recent bid for Congressman Steny Hoyer’s seat in the 5th District, though unsuccessful, propelled him into his current status as Executive Director of New Day Maryland. His work there focuses on promoting diversity and encouraging small businesses and families by advocating for their best interests. Mr. Lollar is an incredible speaker and deeply knowledgeable in Maryland politics. This is an even that you do not want to miss.

The event will be held on UMBC campus in the Skylight Lounge of The Commons. More information about the event, hosted by the UMBC Young Americans for Freedom, can be found here.
