Tuesday: Open Enrollment Begins for Health Insurance Marketplace

Residents of the US will be able to shop Tuesday for insurance through The Health Insurance Marketplace.

It's the first day that the plans will be available, according to a news release from the White House Press Office.

Shop on the federal website: Health Insurance Marketplace.

The open enrollment period runs from Oct. 1 through March 31, 2014, according to a news release from Healthcare Access Maryland, one of the organizations that helps residents find health coverage and financial help in the state.

Specifically, that group helps residents of Baltimore County, Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County.

Beginning Tuesday, you can also call HealthCare Access Maryland for help at 877-223-5201.
