Frederick Road Sidewalk Upgrades to Extend to Interstate 695

Project has begun on Frederick Road at Hillcrest Elementary School in the past month.

The new, wider sidewalks that residents have noticed on Frederick Road in Catonsvile will be extended several miles down Frederick Road to the Baltimore Beltway.

The contractor Romano Concrete of Laurel will be reconstructing sidewalks, ramps and curbs at all transit stops along Frederick Road, according to the State Highway Administration. They are being upgraded to more them more handicap accesible.

The project started moving east toward the Beltway. Other sections of sidewalks that are in disrepair along Frederick Road that are not at a transit stop will also be upgraded.
