County Seeks Comment on Housing, Community Development Plans

The county Division of Neighborhood Improvement, Department of Planning, and the Housing Office will use the comments in drafting plans for addressing housing needs and other community development matters.

Baltimore County officials are seeking community input as it develops a plan for housing needs community development needs.

The county Division of Neighborhood Improvement, Department of Planning, and the Housing Office, will hold a hearing May 1 at 6 p.m. in the Planning Department hearing room, 105 West Chesapeake Ave. in Towson.

Those agencies are seeking comments on two plans: the Public Housing Agency Plan that deals with the five-year period 2010-2014; and the Annual Action Plan for 2014.

Both plans can be reviewed online or at local libraries. The annual action plan can also be reviewed at the county Planning Department office in Towson.  The public housing plan is available at the Housing Office, Drumcastle Government Center, 6401 York Road.

The official public comment period ends for the housing agency plan on May 16, and on the action plan on May 15.
