From a news release:

The American Legion Lot at the Laurel MARC station will be closed Friday morning, May 16, because of possible flooding of the nearby Patuxent River.

The lot closure means that parking capacity will be reduced by at least 40 percent.

There is likely to be no parking left at Laurel after the departure of Train 845 at 6:50 a.m. Do not park in any spaces that are blocked off by yellow police tape.

Laurel passengers should allow extra time to drive to Muirkirk or Savage stations. Laurel tickets are honored at both stations at no additional charge and there is ample parking available. Directions to both stations are listed below.

•Muirkirk: drive south on Route 1, about 6 miles south of Laurel. You will pass the station on your left. Go under the overpass and turn right on Muirkirk Meadows Road. Go about ½ mile and turn right onto Muirkirk Road. Cross the bridge over Route 1 then turn left into the station.

•Savage is located off Route 32 at Dorsey Run Road. Coming east on 32, go straight through the stoplight at the top of the exit ramp, and turn right into the station.
