Bicycle Improvements Coming to Catonsville, UMBC
$79,600 grant will fund bike lanes and other improvements.
A $79,600 grant will go toward improving the bicycle system near the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, The Baltimore Sun reported.
The grant is part of $3.2 million set aside for the Maryland Bikeways Program, according to a Maryland Department of Transportation press release.
Improvements in the southwest portion of Baltimore County will include bike lanes, signage on bike routes, and shared lane markings, also known as sharrows, the release said.
