Two Years Later, No New Leads in Missing Baltimore Woman

Family of Cherice Ragins held a service to honor her on her 26th birthday.

A day didn't go by that Clariese Ragins didn't talk to her daughter Cherice.

So when Cherice left her home on the Gwynn Oak area of Baltimore to go to her boyfriend's place in Catonsville, her mother told her to have a good time. But by Sunday night when Clariese didn't hear from her daughter, she grew concerned.

"We would talk on a daily basis," Clariese Ragins said.

It's been a year-and-a-half since Cherice was reported missing on Feb 21, 2010.

Tuesday would have been her 26th birthday and to honor her, the Ragins family held a service at Patmos Evangelical Community Church in Gwynn Oak.

Clariese Ragins said since that day her life has been a "nightmare." She wanted to hold the service after hearing from an organization Remember Me, which is a group started recently to help remember African-American women who are reported missing in Maryland.

According to Baltimore County Police, there have been no leads on the case.
