Teen Pedestrian Struck, Killed in Catonsville

Police: The driver remained at the scene.

A 17-year-old girl was struck and killed on Baltimore National Pike Sunday night, Baltimore County police said.

Police and fire personnel responded at 10:23 p.m. Sahara Malishan, of the 900 block of Wildwood Parkway, was transported to Shock Trauma, where she was pronounced deceased, according to police.

Crash investigators determined that Malishan was walking in one of the travel lanes on Baltimore National Pike, near North Rolling Road, when she was struck by a 2013 Mazda 6 traveling eastbound. 

The driver, a 62-year-old man, remained at the scene, police said. No citations have been issued and the crash remains under investigation.
