UPDATE: Man 'Presumed To Be Drowned' in Patapsco

Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police are searching the Patapsco River for a male who may have drowned Sunday evening, a police spokesman said.

At 6:30 p.m. Sunday night, police began searching for an hispanic man who went missing after getting in the water at the Avalon area of Patapsco Valley State Park, said Sgt. Brian Albert. 

"He's presumed to be drowned," he said.

The search, in the area of Bloede Dam, ended at midnight Monday and began again at 9 a.m. Monday morning, he said.
