Police Make Arrest in Aug. 19 Shooting

A Catonsville resident was shot and killed outside the Ramada Limited on Baltimore National Pike.

Baltimore County Police have charged a 19-year-old with first-degree murder after an Aug. 19 shooting at the Ramada Limited in Catonsville left one dead.

Savion Devante Moore, 19, of no fixed address, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 18-year-old Kelvin Glasgow of Winters Lane, according to a press release.

At 1:33 a.m. on Aug. 19, police responded to the parking lot of the hotel on Baltimore National Pike for reports of a fight with guns.

Police said that a hotel employee had asked people to leave after a party inside became loud and unruly. When people left, several fights broke out in the parking lot.

When officers arrived, they said they found Glasgow lying in the parking lot with a single gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene and police ruled his death a homicide.

Police said they were able to identify Moore from surveillance cameras at the hotel that showed him allegedly carrying a gun and firing it.
