Man Found Dead near Royal Farms Parking Lot

Baltimore County Police found the body on Wednesday morning near the convenience store.

Eliyahu N. Goode, 25, of the 2500 block of Summerson Road in Baltimore was found dead near Royal Farms on 504 Edmondson Ave. on Wednesday after a woman driving by called police, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Store employees told officers Goode appeared ill when he went into the store the night before. Police had been searching for Goode in May 2012 after he escaped from the psychiatric facility at the Spring Grove Hospital Center, the Sun reports.

Catonsville resident Heather Casey-Crews says she drives past Edmondson Avenue every day for work.

That morning when driving by, Casey-Crews, who was not the woman who called the police, says she saw about four police cars and what appeared to be a body covered by a sheet.

"It makes me sad," Casey-Crews says. "A life is a life—mental illness or not."

The body has been taken to the medical examiner's office, according to the paper.
