Graffiti Discovered at Hillcrest Elementary School

Someone spray-painted numbers on the front of the school.

Baltimore County police are searching for the person who spray-painted graffiti on the front of recently.

Principal Terry McVey and her staff noticed the graffiti when they arrived to school Monday morning. McVey said incidents like this are a common occurrence for the school in the summer months. 

"We've had it far worse," McVey said, noting that in the past it has happened several times over the summer. Defacement of a large section of the side of the building was a particularly egregious incident.

"Hopefully it's over now for the summer," she said.

The graffiti from this incident was the following: " 9 ? 10 11." It was on the front of the building.

By Tuesday afternoon, a school system maintenance crew had already removed the graffiti.

The school system does have security cameras on the property, but this act took place outside of the cameras' viewing range.
