Fuel Theft Leads to Burglary Charges

A 19-year-old Randallstown man was arrested and charged with burglary and petty theft after taking two cans full of gas from a garage at a residence on the 500 block of Bloomingdale Ave., police said.

At around 9:59 a.m. on Sept. 6, a resident on Bloomingdale reportedly saw James Uche Apugo, of the 9200 block of Allenswood Rd. in Randallstown, remove the gas cans from a neighbor's garage, according to police.

The witness called police and followed the suspect in his car until losing the trail, police said.

Police located the vehicle driving on the campus of . Apugo said that he left the gas cans on Ben Woods Court, according to police.

The gas cans, which had contained about $36 of fuel, were recovered empty, police said.

Apugo was arrested and charged with fourth-degree burglary and petty theft.
