UPDATE: Police Arrest Boyfriend of Formerly Missing Dulaney Student

The 23-year-old Perry Hall man has been charged with making a false statement to police.

(Update 8:57 p.m.)— The boyfriend of Aria White, the Dulaney High School senior who went missing on Saturday and was found Thursday, has been arrested for making a false statement to police.

David C. Givens, 23, of the 3700-block of Timahoe Circle in Perry Hall previously told police that White was at his home starting on Saturday and was picked up by someone on Christmas Eve, said Cathleen Batton, a county police spokeswoman. When an officer went to follow up with the boyfriend, White, 17, was discovered at the house.

Givens has been released on his own recognizance, police said in a news release.

White was initially believed to have gone missing in the Perry Hall area after a visit to the White Marsh Mall.

listen, she is one of my good friends, she would't run off like that during the holidays. if she did run away and did this on purpose, then yes, she made a mistake, a big mistake. But if she did not run away then we don't know the whole story. Her whole family is going to need some sort of counseling after all of this anyway. and if you saw her family on facebook and what all they were posting, then you would know how upset they all were. Don't judge what a person does if you don't know their reasoning behind it and if you don't really know what happened.

Her family said she was a good girl and wouldnt just run off, I quess they dont know her to well, maybe they should spend some time with her and well get to know her! I agree charges should be brought against her as well, for hiding from the police, using man hours that could have been used else where. Maybe some community service down at a soup kitchen or a homeless shelter for battered woman would help scare some since into her.

when does it stop? when do the teenagers start having some sense of all the grief they generate by acting out like this? And where is the sense of the 23 year old? Obviously neither individual has any concerns for parents and/or family members?
