Crime Roundup: Hand Gun, Ammunition Stolen

The following information is provided by the Baltimore County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following are summaries of reports provided by Precinct One/Wilkens of the Baltimore County Police Department.

First-Degree Burglary: Sometime between Monday, Dec. 12 at 3 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 4 a.m. a suspect entered a home through an unlocked kitchen window in the 4000 block of Twin Circle Way and removed the following items: Nintendo Wii system, HP laptop, flat screen television and DVD player.

First-Degree Burglary: On Tuesday, Dec. 13 between 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. the nephew of a resident in the 600 block of Ingleside Avenue broke in through a side basement door and stole a case containing a hand gun (a Glock 17, 9 mm) and two fully loaded magazines, police said. According to the police report, the suspect then headed upstairs and was met by a witness who asked what the suspect was doing inside the location. The suspect then fled back downstairs through the basement door. The victim recovered the weapon, but not the magazines.

First-Degree Burglary: On Tuesday, Dec. 13 between 3:45 p.m. and 3:52 p.m. someone broke into a home in the 300 block of Westowne Road via an unlocked front door and removed $100 from a purse hanging on a hook in the living room.

First-Degree Burglary: Someone broke into a home in the 100 block of Hilltop Road but did not steal anything on Tuesday, Dec. 13 between 12 p.m. and 12:28 p.m. According to the police report, the suspect broke a garage window then kicked in a door leading into the living area, which sounded the house alarm.

Second-Degree Sex Offense: On Saturday, Dec. 10 at 10 p.m. in an unidentified block of Sanford Avenue, a suspect and victim were having intercourse when the suspect physically forced anal intercourse. According to police report, the victim asked the suspect not to do so, but the suspect continued.

First-Degree Burglary: On Monday, Dec. 12 between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. someone broke into the 400 block of Ingleside Avenue and stole a wallet, a gold bracelet and prescription drugs. According to the police report, there were no signs of forced entry, but the victim returned home to find the front door partially opened and the items missing.  

First-Degree Burglary: Someone stole $3,000 out of a home in the 700 block of Raynor Avenue between 2 p.m., Thursday Dec. 8 and 6 p.m., Sunday Dec. 11. According to the police report, the suspect gained entry to the home through an unknown location and took the money out of a briefcase in the victim’s master bedroom. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing else was missing or out of place.
