Crime Roundup: Several Daytime Burglaries and Two Armed Robberies

The following arrest information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Armed robbery with a gun: On Saturday at 3:45 p.m., two suspects entered the Family Dollar at 5511 Edmondson Avenue in Catonsville. According to the police report, the first suspect asked the cashier about Moneygrams while the second suspect pulled out a black handgun. The first suspect then went behind the counter and took cash from the register. The suspects ran away toward North Bend Road.

Armed robbery arrest: On Friday at 9:29 p.m., three people were walking on the 5200 block of Baltimore National Pike when they were approached by two males. According to the police report, one of the suspects approached one of the victims and punched him in the face. The suspects then took money from the victims' wallets. The suspects also displayed a knife during the attack. Police chased the suspects and arrested two of them, one juvenile and a 21-year-old male, the report states. 

First-degree burglary: Sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, someone broke into a home on the 1300 block of McCurley Avenue in Catonsville. According to the police report, someone broke into the rear door of the home. Once inside, the suspect rummaged through the master bedroom and stole some coins amounting to $100. The suspect also stole two items of jewelry, the report states.

First-degree burglary: Sometime between 8 a.m. and 5:44 p.m. on Thursday, someone kicked in the front door of a home on the 200 block of Rollingdale Road in Catonsville. According to the police report, the suspect stole a laptop computer, an iPod, a jewelry box and some cash.

First-degree burglary: Sometime between Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. and Thursday at 7:45 a.m., someone broke into a home on the 5200 block of Old Frederick Road in Catonsville. According to the police report, several suspects entered the front of the house and stole the victim's keys off the key rack. The victim was deaf and did not hear them enter the home.

First-degree burglary: Sometime between 8:45 a.m. and 12 p.m. Wednesday, someone broke into a home on the 1300 block of Summit Avenue in Catonsville. According to the police report, the suspect forced open the front door and ransacked the entire house. The suspect stole various pieces of jewelry, including one sapphire bracelet, a pearl necklace and two sapphire earrings.

First-degree burglary: On Monday, Sept. 19 between 8:25 a.m. and 11 a.m., someone broke into a home located on the 200 block of Rolling Brook Way in Catonsville. According to the police report, the suspect came into the house through a broken side window. A video game console, laptop and camera were stolen, according to the report.

Fourth-degree burglary arrest: Baltimore County Police arrested three teenagers after they were caught attempting to steal bikes on the unit block of Greenlow Road in Catonsville. According to the police report, three teenagers were observed going into the rear yard of the home on Monday, Sept. 19 at 7:20 p.m., attempting to cut the chain lock on three bikes. Police arrested three teenagers, the report states.
