Crime Roundup: Royal Farms in Catonsville Robbed

Incident occurred on Sunday night.

April 4: At around 1:45 p.m., police received a report of a burglary on the 700 block of Raynor Avenue in Catonsville. Sometime between April 1-4, an unknown person opened a shed and stole several power saws worth $2,409.

April 7: At 4:21 p.m., police received a report of an assault on a security guard at a clothing store on the 5400 block of Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville. The guard reportedly saw Justin Xavier Edwards take several items and confronted him in the parking lot. Edwards allegedly stabbed the guard in the abdomen and fled the scene. Edwards, of the 900 block of Saint Agnes Lane, was located by police and arrested on charges if first degree assault and attempted first degree murder.

April 8: At around 11:40 p.m., police received a report of burglary on the 300 block of N. Rolling Road in Catonsville. The victim’s daughter observed somebody leaving a rear parking lot with her blue and green mountain bike. The daughter knew the suspect because they are both 10th grade students at Catonsville High School. The suspect reportedly entered the residence through the front door and entered the laundry room, where the bike was stored unlocked. Neither the suspect nor the bike have been located yet.

April 10: Shortly before 5 p.m., the Royal Farms store on the 500 block of Edmonson Avenue was robbed at knifepoint. A black male with a scarf over his face entered the store during change of shift, pulled out a black-handled knife, and pointed it at the clerk. The suspect took $60 from the register and fled.
