Crime Roundup: Police Arrest Man in Armed Robbery at M&T Bank ATM

The following is a roundup of crime reports from Precinct One of the Baltimore County Police Department.

On Wednesday at 10:46 p.m., a woman was withdrawing money from the ATM at the M&T Bank on the 4600 block of Wilkens Avenue in Catonsville. After she had withdrawn $100 from her account, a thin white man with blond hair came up and stood beside her. According to the police report, the man said "excuse me, mama" and pointed a gun at her. The man told her to withdraw $500. The woman said she didn't think she had $500 but that she had $300. After she withdrew the funds, he took all the money and ran away toward the Giant.

Police were able to print a photo of the suspect from the ATM surveillance camera and that he had just been in the bank earlier in the day and had asked for an account balance. When the teller gave him the balance, it was negative by more than $500.

On Thursday between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. someone forced open the rear door of a house on the unit block of Overbrook Road in Catonsville. Once inside the suspect stole a laptop, according to the police report.

On Thursday between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., someone broke into a home on the unit block of Delrey Avenue by removing the hinges from the rear door of the house. According to the police report, the suspect stole a laptop and a platinum ring.

On Saturday at 2:25 a.m., someone was knocking on several doors on the 6200 block of Frederick Road before he point a gun at the victim. Police located the suspect at his home. Police charged Rafael Christian Onrubia, 31 of the unit block of Belle Grove Road in Catonsville, with first degree assault.
