Crime Roundup: Man Shoots Self After Fight in Home

The following information is compiled from incident summaries from Precinct One/Wilkens of the Baltimore County Police Department.

Second-degree assault: On Dec. 24 at 11:30 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault on the 200 block of Glenmore Avenue. According to the police report, when an officer responded to the scene, two men were fighting upstairs. When the officer separated them, one man went into the other room and shot himself. The man was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma.

Second-degree burglary: On Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 6:30 p.m., someone broke into the Wilkins Rogers Mills property at 27 Frederick Road. According to the police report, the suspect cut two locks from free-standing trailers and stole the door off of the trailers.

Armed robbery: On Friday, Dec. 23 at 6:35 p.m., a man was walking from the Shoppers Food Warehouse from Baltimore National Pike. While he was on the unit block of Mount De Sales Road, someone approached him with a gray handgun and demanded money, according to the police report. The suspect took $40 and the victim's groceries before running away.

Fourth-degree burglary: On Monday, Dec. 26 at 2:26 a.m., two juvenile suspects entered Whalen Properties, located at 405 Frederick Road. According to the police report, the suspects entered the building but were approached. Police arrested a 15-year-old and 16-year-old juvenile suspect and charged them with fourth-degree burglary.
