Catonville Crime: Assault at a Party on Westchester Avenue

The following are summaries of incidents from police reports made at Precinct One/Wilkens of the Baltimore County Police Department.

Second-degree burglary: Sometime between 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6 and 11 a.m. on Wednesda,y March 7, someone broke into the shed at a home on the 100 block of Garden Ridge Road. According to the police report, the suspect cut the padlock on the shed and went inside. It appeared that nothing was taken.

Attempted burglary: At 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, police were called to the 300 block of Melvin Avenue. According to the police report, when officers arrived the victim told police that the suspect broke her back window in an attempt to break into her apartment. When the suspect saw the victim, he ran away. The victim described the suspect as a teenager between 15 and 18 years old with a thin build. He had a green shirt covering his face, wore a white shirt and black shorts.

Second-degree burglary: Sometime between 10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7 and 6 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, someone broke into a shed at a home on the first block of Nunnery Lane. According to the police report, the suspect broke the lock on the shed and stole a generator.

First-degree assault: At 1:36 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, police were called to the 300 block of Westchester Avenue for a report of an assault. When officers arrived, they found three guests at a party at the residence had been involved in a fight with two others. Two of the victims were struck with a beer bottle, according to the police report. One victim was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma. Police did not make any arrests in the incident.
