Crime Roundup: Armed Robbery in Oella

The following are summaries for police reports from Precinct One of the Baltimore County Police Department.

Armed robbery: Two suspects entered an unlocked house on Oella Avenue with guns drawn last Wednesday at 11:15 a.m., according to the police report.

The men held the victims -- a 73-year-old woman, a 77-year-old man and a 22-year-old man – at gunpoint while they “ransacked” the home, according to the report. The suspects then forced one of the victims to open a safe before leaving with money, laptop computers and a set of keys.

Police say the two men then got in a car where a third suspect was waiting. Police stopped the car later that day. 

Arrested was Michael Maurice Williams, 24, of Catonsville.  Police say a second suspect has been identified and they are still looking for the third.

First-degree burglary: Sometime between last Saturday Oct. 1 to Tuesday, Oct. 4 someone broke into the rear window of a home located on the 1600 block of Idlewild Avenue in Catonsville. According to the police report, the suspect took a television and a rifle.

Fourth-degree burglary: Sometime between last Sunday Oct. 2 and Monday at 5 a.m., someone broke cut a hole in the chainlink fence at the BGE substation, located at 2735 Frederick Road in Catonsville.

According to the police report, the suspect cut and removed three sections of copper wire and four sections of ground wire.
