Cops Log: Customer Robbed Outside BB&T Bank

Two businesses are also burglarized in Catonsville.

Dec. 1: At 5:23 a.m., someone pried the front door open at the Tobacco Outlet, located at 6600 Baltimore National Pike, according to police. Once inside the suspect took numerous cartons of cigarettes and lottery tickets.

Dec. 3: At 12 p.m., a man left the BB&T Bank branch located at 919 Frederick Road with two money bags in his hand from his transactions, according to police. When he was trying to get into his car, he was attacked by the suspect, who took the money and ran to a white car. The victim was able to see the license plate on the car when it drove off. Police found the suspect in the area of Hollins Ferry Road and Patapsco Avenue. Police arrested Ernest Payne, 39, of 4193 McDowell Lane in Halethorpe.

Dec. 5: At 4:32 p.m., someone broke the glass of a window at Western School of Technology in Catonsville, according to police. Once inside, the suspect tried to get into the vending machines but were unsuccessful. Shortly after, Baltimore County Publice schools security responded and found video of the incident.
