CCBC Student, CHS Grad Dies After Being Struck by Car

Baltimore County Police provided details on the death of Stephanie Kiara Augins.

Baltimore County Police today released details on a June 11 accident  that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Stephanie Kiara Augins.

Augins was a 2011 graduate of and a student at , according to an obituary posted by the Baltimore Sun.

According to police, Augins was walking at the intersection of Dogwood Road and Summit Avenue in Woodlawn at 10 p.m. on June 11.

When she stepped onto Dogwood Road she was struck by a car traveling in the eastbound lane. Augins was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma, where she died shortly after midnight on June 12.

There is no traffic signal or crosswalk at that intersection, according to police. No charges have been filed against the driver and speed did not appear to be a factor.
