Catonsville Crime: Suspects Force Their Way Into Home

The following information is compiled from summaries of police reports in Precinct One/Wilkens of the Baltimore County Police Department.

First-degree burglary: At 3:30 p.m. on April 16, a woman was alone in her home on the unit block of Delrey Avenue when two men knocked on the door identifying themselves as employees of the water department. When the woman opened the door, the suspects came inside and took items from a safe upstairs. The suspects had reflective vests on, according to the police report.

First-degree burglary: Sometime between 7 a.m. abd 12 p.m. on April 17, someone broke into the home on 600 block of Orpington Road and stole a Dell laptop, according to the police report.

Second-degree burglary: Sometime between 8 p.m. on April 9 and 6:38 p.m. on April 17, someone kicked in the plywood from an adjacent building on the 1100 bock of North Rolling Road to get inside a storage unit, according to the police report. Once inside, they took 16 leather jackets.

Second-degree burglary: Sometime between 6 p.m. on April 15 and 11 a.m. on April 17, someone pried the lock off a shed door at a home in the 2100 block of Westchester Avenue. Once inside, the suspect stole a leaf blower, a weed trimmer, a gas can and two lawn sprinklers, according to the police report.
