Catonsville Crime: Shoe Burglar Destroys Basement Window

The following information was provided by the Baltimore County Police Department's Wilkens Precinct, which serves Catonsville and other areas. Charges do not indicate convictions.

A burglar destroyed a basement window of a home, stole shoes, but was later caught.

Between 10:50 p.m. July 6 and 12:27 July 7, a burglar—an aquaintance of the resident—broke into the home in the 100 block of Cherrydell Road in Catonsville, according to a report by the Baltimore County Police Department's Wilkens Precinct.

The suspect ran, but was later found, it states. The shoes were returned to the owner.

Charges are pending, the report states.

Rollingfield Road. 200 block. Between 3:30 a.m. and 3:58 a.m. July 6. A burglar tried to get into the back windows of a house, but did not succeed. The burglar did get into the home by prying and kicking the front screen door. Inside, he saw the resident, and ran.

Clifden Road. 1900 block. Between 9 a.m. July 5 and 10:30 a.m. July 7. A burglar stole an air conditioning unit from the dining room window, and went inside the home and stole a TV.
