Catonsville Crime: Police Catch Armed Robber

The following information is provided by the Baltimore County Police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following information are summaries of police reports from Precinct One/Wilkens of the Baltimore County Police Department.

Armed robbery: At 7:11 a.m. on March 18, police were called to the Lowe's, located at 5900 Baltimore National Pike. When officers arrived they saw a suspect running from the location. Police chased the suspect and caught him. When officers interviewed the employees they learned that the suspect was a former employee who used an airsoft gun to get them to open the safe. Police arrested Roderick Schwarzkopf Mills, 25, of the 1500 block of West Lafayette Avenue in Baltimore.

Attempted armed robbery: At 4:30 p.m. on March 14, police were called to the rear of the 700 block of Frederick Road, where the victim told police he was approached by a man who struck him in the back of the head and demanded money. The suspect ran away and nothing was taken from the victim.

First-degree burglary: At 11:59 p.m. on March 14, someone broke into a home on the 900 block of Circle Drive. According to the police report, the suspect climbed onto the roof of the home and got inside through a second-floor window. The suspect stole a diamond ring and alcohol from the location. The suspect had been ordered to stay off the property, according to the report. Police arrested Brent Jeramie Gough, 34, of the 3300 block of Old Frederick Road in Catonsville. 

Fourth-degree burglary: Sometime between March 7 and 8 a.m. on March 15, someone stole three aluminum ladders from the backyard of a home located on the unit block of Sanford Avenue.

Fourth-degree burglary: Sometime between 6 p.m. on March 8 and 11 a.m. on March 14, someone broke into a home located on the 2400 block of Frederick Road. According to the police report, the suspect stole copper wire valued at $400.
