Catonsville Crime: Man Kidnapped to Withdraw Money

Man was approached on Baltimore National Pike and forced to withdraw money from various banks.

A 68-year-old Baltimore city man was approached by two men on July 25 in Catonsville and asked to withdraw money from various banks, according to police.

According to the police report, the man was approached by two men at the Safeway on the 5600 block of Baltimore National Pike, according to Baltimore County Police.

The man was approached by two men who asked for a ride. Once inside the car, one of the suspects displayed a gun and was forced to withdraw money from several banks.

The suspect was dropped off at the CVS on Baltimore National Pike while the suspects left on foot towards Howard County, according to police.

Police described the first suspect as a man roughly 6 feet inches tall who had a white baseball cap, a light plaid shirt and black dress pants. The second man  was roughly 5 feet 6 inches tall who wore a khaki fedora hat, a black suit and white shirt. He also wore a gray tie with black polka dots.
