Catonsville Crime: Armed Robbery on Frederick Road

The following information is provided by the Baltimore County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The following are summaries of incidents reported in Precinct One/Wilkens of the Baltimore County Police Department.

Armed robbery: At 2:15 a.m. on May 14, two men were standing at the intersection of Frederick Road and Shady Nook Avenue when they were approached by two men. According to the police report, the suspects pointed two handguns and a shotgun at the victims and told them to get on the ground. The suspects went through the victims' pockets and stole an iPod, a cell phone, an MP3 player and a wallet.

Second-degree burglary: Sometime between May 16 at 11 p.m. and May 17 at 7:45 a.m., someone broke into a home on the 1000 block of Idlewild Avenue. According to the police report, the suspect entered the back door of the house, which was unlocked, while the family slept upstairs. The suspect stole three laptop computers, two cell phones and cash from the first floor office.

First-degree burglary: Sometime between 7 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. on May 16, someone broke into a home on the unit block of Dutton Avenue. According to the police report, the suspect was able to unlock the rear patio door through broken glass. The suspect stole a video game console, a laptop, an ipod touch and 17 video games.
