Baltimore City Officer Suspended, Charged with Pulling Gun on Son

The Catonsville resident was arrested last month.

A Baltimore City police sergeant is suspended without pay after Baltimore County police said she allegedly pulled a gun on her son at her Catonsville home on June 17, according to ABC's WMAR-TV.

In addition to her suspension, Robin Blackmon, 44, who was assigned to the Western District, had her service weapon reclaimed by the department pending the outcome of the case, Baltimore City police spokesman Sgt. Eric Kowalczyk told WMAR.

Blackmon was arrested last month in Baltimore County accused of DUI and allegedly pulling a gun on her adult son, Andrew Bratcher.

Officers said they received a disturbance call in the unit block of Walden Mill Way around 6:42 a.m. from Blackmon, who said her son as "out of control," after he did not return home after his scheduled shift at a local Applebee's, WMAR reports, citing police reports.

"Bratcher said he returned home around 3:30 a.m. after attending a gay pride event at which time the two began arguing," WMAR states.

Her son told police the intoxicated Blackmon threatened to kill him, according to WMAR.
