Join your neighbors in the fight against cancer by joining Relay for Life of Catonsville, an overnight fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.
Many of us have been touched by cancer. Perhaps a mother or sister was diagnosed with breast cancer or an uncle or brother was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Family and friends rally behnid their loved one to help them on their difficult journey. Meals are delivered; rides are given; hands are held.
Often, we wish there was more we could do. There is. Relay for Life of Catonsville provides an opportunity to honor a loved one who is fighting or who has succumbed to cancer. Relayers fund American Cancer Society programs for Maryland cancer patients and cancer research.
In 2011, Relay for Life of Catonsville raised $102,511. This year's goal is to raise $120,000. The overnight relay will start at 6 p.m. June 9, 2012, at the CCBC-Catonsville Stadium Track.
