One good way to stay cool in the summer is to go to the library, especially now that the libraries are open once more after the power problems.
And in July, the Pikesville Library has some programs for both kids and adults.
For children, there's going to be "Preschool Story Time" on Friday, July 27 at 10:30 a.m. That's where kids ages 2-5 can listen to stories and do various songs and other acitivties with an adult.
There's also "Baby Boosters Story Time" where children ages 23 months and younger have fun with stories, music, movement and rhymes, also with an adult. That's at 10:30 on July 25.
On July 26 at 10:30 a.m., there will be "Toddler Story Time." That's an interactive program that involves things like short stories, music and movement activities for kids ages 2-3. That's also with an adult, and registration is requried.
For adults, the "Chapter Five Book Club" will meet at 7 p.m. on July 25.
That night, they'll have a discussion about Candice Millard's Destiny of the Republic.
