Exciting things are happening on the Short Line Trail. We are hoping to get funding to put a cr6 (crusher run) surface on the trail between Maiden Choice Ln. and Paradise as early as this summer. To receive future funding, our projects need to be “shovel ready” and we need to clear the large piles of limbs along the trail. We have rented a chipper for this weekend in a special partnership with ABC Rental. We need volunteers!
We know that helping to clear the trail on St. Patrick’s Day is probably not on your top ten things to do this weekend but we were hoping that we would be lucky enough to have you come and help for at least an hour. Saturday is supposed to be a beautiful day. This is a great way to get some exercise and help your community.

Volunteers (14 yrs. and up) will be feeding limbs into chippers. We have gloves and hearing protection. Bring eye protection if you can. Need volunteers for sign in desk and to assign volunteers. Volunteers of all ages are needed for special projects. Lunch provided and all the water you can drink.
