Charlestown ELLIC to Host Bill Grimmette Presentation on Life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
CATONSVILLE, MD—The Elderhostel Lifelong Learning Institute of Charlestown retirement community (ELLIC) will host an intergenerational program on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Widely-acclaimed master story teller Bill Grimmette will present Empowering Stories from the King Years: How America Was Made a Better Democracy by the Rebellion of a King.
The event will take place on Thursday, January 17th from 1:00pm to 2:15pm in the Erickson Conference Center of Charlestown retirement community. The program is free and open to the public.

Mr. Grimmette has traveled the world, providing historical accounts of figures such as Benjamin Banneker and Frederick Douglas. He is Past President of the National Association of Black Storytellers and a perennial performer with the Kennedy Center and the Smithsonian Institutions.
Mr. Grimmette will tell stories that show the acclaimed clergyman and leader of the Civil Rights Movement from all sides and help us to see how we can weave ordinary events into a story that leaves an extraordinary impact.
