Character Descriptions (4 men and 4 women):

William
Gillette:
35-50 years old. A professional actor, very over-the-top when
in “acting” mode and some of his melodrama carries over into his

personal demeanor. Handsome and full of life and energy.

Martha
Gillette:
55-70 years old. William’s mother. A bit empty-headed at first

blush, but smarter than she appears. Long-suffering and patient with

William. Accustomed to some level of comfort.

Felix Geisel: Early
40s, married to Madge. A professional actor, quite melodramatic in a
pleasant way. Enjoys quoting lines from classic plays in full
character.Simon Bright: 25-35. Aggie’s fiancé. Handsome, affectionate,
and good-natured, also an actor. Comes across as quite genial.

Madge Geisel: Early 40s, married to Felix. Flamboyant and playful, a perfect match for Felix’s extroverted personality.

Aggie Wheeler: 25-35. Simon’s fiancée. Pretty, smart, spunky, affectionate, and good-natured.

Inspector
Goring:
40-50 years old. British (if possible), eccentric, driven, and

very confident. In some ways she appears to view herself as a female

version of Sherlock Holmes, though the reality falls short.

Daria
Chase:
Beautiful, smart, and very sure of herself. A theatre critic who

can give biting criticism and not be afraid to face the actors

afterward.  Very classy in appearance, accustomed to mingling in high society.
